…the crew has arrived at the mill!
This week Bexie Bush, Chris Hees, Peter Mead and Jeremy Stout, her intrepid film crew have arrived at John Smedley Limited to begin filming ‘The Rumour Mill’. Building a set on site, the film will use the engaging dialogue with those who work on the shop floor, discussing energy and the history of this fascinating garment firm. John Smedley Limited have been on the same site since 1784.
From the first few images of Bexie setting up I can see the unique atmosphere and smell of old timbers will imbue every second of the animation.
I have being lucky enough to watch Bexie’s ‘animatic’, which showed the preliminary version of the film, from a series of sketched storyboards and the soundtrack (in this case the voices of workers). Its dynamic and pretty magical, even at this early stage… Watch this space for more!
